Children of Hope Report

Children of Hope continues to express God's love by providing education, food, clothing, school supplies, and HOPE for needy children and their families who find themselves in extreme poverty.
In total, we sponsor about 200 children from Indonesia, Zambia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Guatemala, and Armenia. We have children waiting for help in India but have not had any sponsored.
Why do we focus on education?
Without education the children in third world countries face an extremely bleak future. Education opens doors of opportunity, gives the child self esteem, a desire to learn and do better. It also let's them see that there are things they can do to improve their situation which in turns motivates them to succeed in school.
In Zambia they are teaching sewing classes to provide a skill for some of the girls. In the handicapped orphanages of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan the children are provided with toys, games and crafts that simulate them so they can improve their quality of life.
As part of the educational program, we provide school supplies, uniforms, and tuition so the children of Indonesia can attend school. In Armenia we are helping the poorest children stay in school. The children that are in school are not begging on the street corners, or selling goods in the busy streets to the cars going by, or stealing, or..., you can fill in the blank. Education makes the difference, and Children of Hope will continue to place it as a priority.
What does Children of Hope need?
Our greatest need is more sponsors. We have too many children who are not sponsored.
This fall listen to the Children of Hope radio ads on UCB. Each segment will feature a child who needs sponsoring. Please talk about us to your friends and relatives and tell them how much they can help a child through sponsorship through Children of Hope. By helping one child who knows what they may become.
THANK YOU TO ALL THE SPONSORS. What would these children do without you? I hate to think about it so I won't. Instead, I will thank the Lord for you and for all that you do and mean to these children.
Please continue to pray for your child and their country, for Children of Hope that we will grow and continue to have impact on the lives of needy children around the world.
